Our client is a Global MNC in the Logistics industry. They are currently looking to bring onboard an Accountant  to join their finance team. This role is suited for a technically strong accounting professional with deep expertise in financial reporting, tax, and audit, within a structured and fast-paced environment.

The Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. This role manages general ledger activities, month-end and year-end closing processes, account reconciliations, journal entries, partial accounts payables (AP) oversight and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including balance sheet and profit & loss accounts.
  • Prepare bank, intercompany, and other account reconciliations.
  • Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies or unusual transactions.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with external and internal audits by providing supporting documentation and explanations.
  • Monitor fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, and provisions.
  • Support tax, statutory, and regulatory reporting requirements as needed.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and system enhancements.


REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent) is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, audit, or finance operations
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and local tax regulations
  • Hands-on experience across core accounting functions (e.g., GL, AP, accruals, month-end close)
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a structured, deadline-driven environment
