About the Role
We are seeking an experienced AS400 COBOL Developer to join our team on a 1-year contract. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and configuring AS400 COBOL software modules, interfaces, and components within the banking domain, with a strong focus on payments. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, collaboration skills, and the ability to deliver quality software solutions aligned with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and configure AS400 COBOL software modules, interfaces, and components.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment to deliver quality software on schedule.
- Explore new business solutions to enhance functionality and meet evolving user needs.
- Adopt and adhere to standards and methodologies of application design and functionality.
- Continuously enhance skills to stay updated with the latest software development trends.
- Proactively identify and raise issues when necessary.
- Participate in the full software delivery lifecycle, including maintenance of AS400 applications.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology.
- 3–5 years of AS400 COBOL development experience.
- Experience in the banking domain, particularly payments.
- Strong working knowledge of AS400, COBOL, SQL, and DB2 database.
- Familiarity with JIRA and ALDON.
- Proven experience in complete software delivery lifecycle.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage at different levels and across diverse teams.
- Experience working closely with clients to provide required services.
