About the Role
Join one of the world's leading investment banks as a Analyst within the Asset Servicing Operations team.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in Corporate Actions or Asset Servicing who enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-volume operations environment supporting global financial markets.
You'll be responsible for managing corporate action events across APAC markets while partnering with trading desks, custodians, brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate event processing.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Actions & Asset Servicing
- Process voluntary and mandatory corporate action events across APAC equity and fixed income products.
- Create and maintain corporate action events within internal systems.
- Process entitlement elections, distributions, and event settlements accurately and within deadlines.
- Reconcile cash and securities balances to ensure accurate processing.
- Support internal trading desks, Prime Brokerage teams, stock loan counterparties, and external brokers.
- Liaise with custodian banks and market participants to obtain and validate corporate action information.
- Interpret and process market notifications using SWIFT messaging standards.
- Investigate and resolve operational exceptions and discrepancies.
- Ensure all transactions are processed accurately within established controls and procedures.
- Identify operational risks and escalate issues where appropriate.
- Support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Finance, Banking, Business, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience in Corporate Actions, Asset Servicing, or Securities Operations.
- Good understanding of capital markets, securities processing, and investment banking operations.
- Knowledge of APAC equity and fixed income corporate action events.
- Familiarity with SWIFT messages and custodian bank processes is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight operational deadlines.
- Proactive with a continuous improvement mindset.
