Role Summary We are seeking a Junior Avaloq Developer (Avaloq Certified Professional preferred) to join an established Avaloq delivery team, focusing on defect analysis, troubleshooting, and remediation within an existing Avaloq environment.
This is a hands-on technical role involving support and defect resolution across the Avaloq platform, working closely with functional, testing, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse, diagnose, and resolve functional and technical defects in Avaloq systems
- Perform root cause analysis across Avaloq Script, tasks, reports, interfaces, and database objects
- Develop, implement, and unit test fixes in line with development standards
- Support defect resolution across DEV / SIT / UAT / PROD environments as required
- Collaborate with BA and QA teams to reproduce, clarify, and validate issues
- Ensure fixes are stable and do not introduce regressions
- Support deployment and post-release verification activities
- Maintain technical documentation for fixes and known issues
- 1–3 years of experience as an Avaloq Developer or Avaloq support/development role
- Strong understanding of Avaloq Script and task execution
- Experience with reports (screen/print/datamarts)
- Basic Oracle SQL and data structure understanding
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in existing (non-greenfield) environments
- Exposure to financial products (equities, bonds, funds, etc.)
- Familiarity with interfaces (file-based, messaging, APIs)
- Experience in production support / defect resolution environments
- Self-driven and able to manage tasks independently
- Detail-oriented and structured in defect analysis
- Comfortable working in support/stabilisation environments
- Good communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
