My client specializes in delivering end-to-end IT solutions that empower public sector organizations to modernize, streamline, and secure their operations. As a trusted systems integrator, they partner with top-tier technology vendors to provide tailored solutions in areas such as cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, digital transformation, and network modernization.
They are currently expanding their team and are looking for an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead their growth across the public sector, including local and central government, healthcare, defence etc.

The Role:
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities within the public sector. Your primary goal will be to grow our customer base and deepen relationships with key decision-makers by understanding their needs and delivering innovative, integrated IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the public sector
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive growth
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, procurement teams, and decision-makers
  • Collaborate with technical teams to create compelling proposals and presentations
  • Stay current with public sector procurement frameworks (e.g., G-Cloud, CCS, Digital Outcomes)
  • Meet and exceed sales targets, KPIs, and revenue goals
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
  • Provide market feedback to influence product/service development
About You
  • Proven experience in a business development or sales role, ideally within a systems integrator or IT solutions provider
  • Deep understanding of the public sector procurement landscape and sales cycles
  • Strong network within government, healthcare, or education sectors
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and highly organized
  • Ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear business value
  • Familiarity with relevant public sector frameworks and compliance standards
  • A background in IT, cloud, networking, or cybersecurity is a plus
