About the Role
We are hiring a DevOps Engineer to strengthen CI/CD automation and reliability for Salesforce-based applications. You’ll build and maintain robust pipelines in SHIP-HATS, optimise GitLab CI/CD, and partner closely with engineering and test automation teams to improve delivery speed, stability, and compliance. You’ll also support cloud infrastructure operations, container tooling, and Day-2 issue resolution (e.g., Docker runners).
Key Responsibilities
CI/CD & Automation
- Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines in SHIP-HATS
- Utilise and optimise GitLab CI/CD to streamline software delivery and deployment practices
- Collaborate with engineering and test automation teams to improve CI/CD workflows and release efficiency
- Automate repetitive tasks and enhance pipelines using Bash
and/or Python
- Manage and maintain cloud-based infrastructure
- Support containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Monitor, detect, and resolve infrastructure issues, including CI/CD components such as Docker runners
- Ensure security and compliance requirements are met for Salesforce-based applications throughout the SDLC
- Embed secure practices into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., controls, checks, auditability, and governance)
Must-Have
- Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Strong working knowledge of GitLab CI/CD
- Scripting skills in Bash and/or Python for automation
- Practical knowledge of Docker and exposure to Kubernetes
- Experience supporting cloud infrastructure and handling Day-2 operational issues (monitoring, troubleshooting, incident resolution)
- Good collaboration skills—comfortable working across engineering, QA/test automation, and stakeholders
- Experience supporting Salesforce delivery pipelines or Salesforce application releases
- Familiarity with compliance-controlled environments (e.g., audit trails, approvals, segregation of duties)
- Experience with runner management (e.g., scaling, stability, performance optimisation)
