About the role
We’re hiring a DevSecOps / Cloud Platform Lead to drive modernisation across CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and operational enablement for a large enterprise environment. You will provide strategic advisory on DevSecOps and cloud best practices, lead discovery and planning, and work hands-on with teams to implement new tools, reusable assets, and self-sufficient operating models. This is a hybrid advisory + hands-on enablement role: you’ll influence stakeholders, mentor a CoE team, and deliver tangible improvements across delivery velocity, security, observability, and cloud cost/performance.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic advisory: Provide guidance on DevSecOps and cloud infrastructure best practices; align technical recommendations to business outcomes.
- Discovery & planning: Assess current environments, identify gaps, and define modernisation roadmaps.
- Stakeholder management: Present solutions clearly and communicate value across diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Team leadership: Mentor CoE members and guide adoption of tools and standards across departments.
- Hands-on enablement: Run workshops and work directly with teams to implement tools, templates, and ways of working.
- CI/CD migration: Transition pipelines from Jenkins to Azure DevOps.
- Operational independence: Design operating models so departments can manage pipelines and platforms with minimal central dependency.
- Infrastructure assessment: Evaluate Azure infrastructure for security, cost, and performance improvements.
- Shared assets: Build reusable CI/CD templates, tooling, and standards for organisation-wide adoption.
- 7+ years IT delivery experience, including 3+ years leading teams (people leadership and/or leading delivery squads).
- Strong hands-on proficiency with Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking and architecture across Azure and/or AWS.
- Experience with Day-2 operations, observability, and secure cloud architecture(DevSecOps mindset).
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder influence skills.
