My client is a European Multinational Corporation in the Manufacturing industry and are currently seeking an experienced  HR Director, APAC to lead the human resources function across the Asia Pacific region.

This role will be responsible for shaping and executing the regional people strategy, partnering closely with senior leadership to drive organisational effectiveness, talent development, employee engagement, and HR operational excellence across multiple countries.

The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in aligning people strategy with business priorities across a diverse, multi-country environment, supporting both corporate and operational teams.


RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Regional HR Strategy
  • Develop and implement regional HR strategies aligned with global and business objectives.
  • Partner with senior leadership to support organisational design, workforce planning, and business transformation initiatives.
  • Act as a strategic advisor on all people-related matters across the region.

2) Talent Management & Development
  • Lead end-to-end talent management strategies including succession planning and leadership development.
  • Drive performance management frameworks and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Oversee learning and development initiatives to build organisational capability and leadership depth.

3) Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure effective workforce planning and capability alignment.
  • Oversee regional hiring strategies for key roles and leadership positions.
  • Strengthen employer branding and talent attraction efforts across multiple markets.

4) Employee Relations & Stakeholder Management
  • Manage employee relations matters and provide guidance on complex HR issues.
  • Ensure consistent HR practices across countries while adapting to local regulations and contexts.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and leadership teams.

5) Compensation & Benefits
  • Support regional compensation strategy, benchmarking, and annual review cycles.
  • Ensure alignment of reward structures with market competitiveness and business goals.

6) HR Operations & Governance
  • Oversee HR policies, processes, and compliance across the region.
  • Drive HR process improvements and support digital HR transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to local employment regulations and internal governance standards.

7) Culture & Engagement
  • Champion a positive, inclusive, and performance-oriented culture across diverse teams.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives and action planning to improve retention and workplace experience.


REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 12–15+ years of progressive HR experience, including regional leadership exposure.
  • Proven ability to operate in a multi-country, matrix organisation.
  • Strong experience in partnering senior leadership on strategic HR initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of core HR disciplines including talent, compensation, employee relations, and organisational development.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work across diverse cultures and manage complexity in a regional role.
