Position: Infrastructure Architect Lead
Experience Required: Minimum 7 years in IT delivery, including at least 3 years in team leadership

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Advisory:  Provide expert guidance on DevSecOps frameworks, secure cloud architecture, and modernization best practices to drive enterprise-wide technical excellence.
  • Discovery & Planning:  Assess current infrastructure, processes, and toolchains to design modernization roadmaps that align with long-term business and technology goals.
  • Stakeholder Management:  Engage senior stakeholders, articulate solution benefits, and influence decision-making through clear technical and business-focused presentations.
  • Team Leadership & Enablement:  Mentor Centre of Excellence (CoE) members, guide cross-functional teams, and drive adoption of modern DevSecOps tools, processes, and operational models.
  • Hands-on Implementation Support:  Conduct technical workshops and enable teams in adopting standardized CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and secure-by-design practices.
Key Initiatives (First 6–9 Months)
CI/CD Modernisation:  Lead the migration from Jenkins to Azure DevOps, including redesign of pipelines, templates, governance, and rollout strategies.
Operational Independence Framework:  Define and build scalable operational models that enable departments to run independently with minimal central support.
Infrastructure Deep Dive:  Perform health, security, performance, and cost assessments of Azure cloud infrastructure, identifying improvement and optimization opportunities.
Shared Assets & Standardisation:  Develop reusable CI/CD templates, automation scripts, infrastructure modules, and best-practice toolsets for organization-wide reuse.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Expertise
  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps, Terraform, Kubernetes, and cloud networking (Azure/AWS).
  • Strong foundation in cloud-native architectures, containerization, IaC, and automation.
Operations & Security
  • Experience in Day-2 operations, observability, incident/problem management, and operational governance.
  • Well-versed in secure cloud architecture, DevSecOps patterns, and compliance requirements.
Stakeholder Influencing
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex topics to non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to influence, align, and collaborate with cross-functional and senior stakeholders.
Strategic & Business Alignment
  • Ability to evaluate technical decisions through a business impact lens and shape long-term roadmaps accordingly.
