We are looking for a Java Developer to join a dynamic development team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality web applications and business solutions.
This is a hands-on development role suited for a Java professional with experience in Java/J2EE, web application development, databases and API integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and maintain web applications using Java/J2EE
- Develop applications in accordance with established development standards
- Work closely with senior developers and technical teams to deliver IT solutions
- Develop and integrate REST/RPC APIs between applications
- Perform unit testing, troubleshooting and technical issue resolution
- Support application packaging and deployment releases
- Assist with requirements gathering and technical documentation
- Refine and tune integrations between applications
- Support application enhancements and continuous improvement
- Diploma, Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline
- 3+ years of software development experience preferred
- Strong hands-on experience in Java/J2EE development
- Experience with Java Frameworks / SDK
- Strong database development experience with one or more of:
Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL or MongoDB - Experience with REST / RPC / APIs and application integration
- Good understanding of MVC architecture and Hibernate
- Experience with JavaScript
and one or more of:
Angular.js, React.js, Node.js or Knockout.js - Good understanding of software development and testing practices
- Strong troubleshooting, communication and problem-solving skills
- AWS / Cloud deployment experience
- Agile development experience
- Java-based mobile application development
- Java or React certification
- Knowledge of web application security
