About the Role
Our client is seeking an Assistant Financial Accountant supporting the Compliance/Accounting Team.
This role is ideal for candidates with a strong solid accounting foundation, audit knowledge, reconciliation skills, and understanding of sub-ledger / general ledger fundamentals .
Key Responsibilities
- Primarily provide general accounting and compliance support.
- Understanding the flow of POs, DOs and invoices to support the team.
- Coordinate statutory audit requests, tax filings and compliance requirements to ensure timely completion.
- Prepare, review and consolidate audit support schedules, statutory reports and compliance documentation.
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on IFRS and statutory compliance requirements.
- Support regional compliance projects, internal control initiatives and Group Audit activities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting compliance, financial reporting, tax or financial compliance.
- Inventory exposure will be an added advantage.
- Good understanding of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
- Experience coordinating with external auditors, tax agents and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and organisational skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
