About the Role We are seeking an experienced Materials Manager to support material readiness and supply execution across manufacturing partners for complex technology hardware programs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring supply continuity, identifying and mitigating material risks, and driving effective material planning and execution. You will work closely with internal teams, manufacturing partners and suppliers to align demand, supply and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end material readiness and supply continuity for assigned manufacturing programs.
- Work closely with manufacturing partners to monitor production commitments, identify material constraints and drive recovery actions.
- Conduct regular business reviews with planning and procurement teams to align production schedules, material availability and supply risks.
- Drive alignment between demand requirements and material planning systems to support accurate planning and production readiness.
- Track material availability against production build plans and proactively identify critical or gating components.
- Manage complex, multi-level Bills of Materials (BOMs) and translate material risks into practical mitigation and recovery plans.
- Monitor inventory health, excess and obsolete inventory exposure, and material lifecycle changes.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, engineering, operations and other cross-functional teams to resolve supply constraints.
- Maintain accurate material risk reports and provide clear updates on supply status, risks and mitigation plans to management.
- Drive continuous improvement in material planning, supply execution and operational processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
in materials management, supply chain, manufacturing operations or related functions within the technology or electronics industry.
- Experience working with manufacturing partners, planning teams and procurement teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience in material readiness, production planning and inventory management.
- Experience managing complex BOM structures and production build requirements.
- Good understanding of MRP, demand planning, supply planning and inventory management.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Ability to identify supply risks, drive resolution and work effectively under time-sensitive conditions.
- Experience supporting technology hardware, servers, data centre infrastructure, compute, storage or networking products.
- Familiarity with system integration, rack-level assemblies and hardware manufacturing supply chains.
- Regional supply chain experience across APAC.
- APICS/ASCM certification such as CSCP or CPIM will be an advantage.
