About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Murex Data Track Lead to join a large-scale banking transformation programme. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the end-to-end delivery of Murex MX.3 Datamart reporting solutions across Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Operations functions.
You will act as the subject matter expert and workstream lead, overseeing Datamart architecture, reporting design, development, optimization, and stakeholder engagement while leading a team of consultants and developers throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Murex Datamart Leadership
- Lead the Murex MX.3 Datamart reporting workstream across Front Office, Back Office, Market Risk, Credit Risk, and Finance domains.
- Gather and translate business requirements into scalable reporting and data solutions.
- Design and implement Datamart architecture, data models, reporting frameworks, and reporting catalogues.
- Partner closely with business stakeholders, including Traders, Risk Managers, Finance Controllers, and Operations teams.
- Design, configure, and optimize Datamart objects, including dynamic tables, feeders, processing scripts, scanner templates, extractions, and reporting tables.
- Develop reporting solutions supporting P&L, positions, settlements, VaR, sensitivities, PFE, CVA, and financial reporting requirements.
- Drive report migration initiatives from legacy reporting frameworks to MX.3 Datamart.
- Optimize batch processing performance and end-of-day reporting workflows.
- Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and reporting logic.
- Support market data integration, reporting reconciliation, and data quality validation.
- Work closely with integration teams to ensure seamless data flow across enterprise systems.
- Lead and mentor a team of Murex consultants and developers.
- Drive delivery planning, issue resolution, testing support, and governance activities.
- Provide regular project updates, risk assessments, and delivery status reports to programme leadership.
- Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and reporting governance frameworks.
Essential Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience working with Murex MX.3 within banking or capital markets environments.
- Strong expertise in Murex Datamart architecture, configuration, reporting development, and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Dynamic Tables
- Feeders & Batch Feeders
- Processing Scripts
- Scanner Templates
- Reporting Tables
- Data Extractions
- Proven experience leading Datamart reporting workstreams or teams across complex transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Operations reporting requirements.
- Advanced SQL programming skills (Oracle / Sybase).
- Experience with Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
- Python scripting experience for reporting automation and reconciliation.
- Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Control-M or AutoSys.
- Experience with reporting and BI tools.
- Knowledge of Murex reporting architecture and capital markets reporting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, Financial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Murex certifications or formal Murex training will be highly advantageous.
- Be part of a major banking transformation programme.
- Lead a critical Murex Datamart workstream with high visibility.
- Work alongside senior stakeholders across Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Technology.
