About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Murex Front Office Lead to join a major banking transformation programme. This role will lead the Front Office workstream within a strategic Murex MX.3 upgrade and transformation initiative, covering new module onboarding, platform enhancements, automation, reconciliation, and governance improvements.

As the key bridge between Front Office stakeholders and technology teams, you will drive business analysis, solution design, pricing and booking configuration, system delivery, and stakeholder engagement across multiple asset classes.

Key Responsibilities
Front Office Solution Design & Analysis
  • Lead requirement gathering and solution design workshops with Traders, Sales, Structurers, and Front Office stakeholders.
  • Analyse current-state processes and define target-state operating models within Murex MX.3.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, solution designs, and configuration blueprints.
  • Provide advisory support on Front Office workflows, trading processes, and system capabilities.
Murex Front Office Delivery
  • Design and configure pricing models, instrument setups, and trade capture workflows within Murex MX.3.
  • Drive Straight-Through Processing (STP) initiatives across pricing, trade execution, and distribution workflows.
  • Support platform upgrades, migration activities, reconciliation frameworks, and report development.
  • Oversee integration touchpoints and data migration activities related to Front Office functions.
Stakeholder Management
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders.
  • Partner with Front Office users, project managers, and Murex teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Present solution recommendations and articulate business and technical trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
  • Drive programme governance, roadmap planning, and solution alignment across multiple workstreams.
Testing & Production Support
  • Lead SIT, UAT, and functional testing activities.
  • Support release management and production deployment activities.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to trade booking, pricing, P&L, and market data.
  • Ensure deliverables meet business requirements and quality standards.
Requirements
Essential Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Murex Front Office Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, or System Analyst within corporate or investment banking environments.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Murex MX.3 Front Office modules, including:
    • Trade Capture
    • Pricing Configuration
    • Instrument Setup
    • Trade Workflow Design
    • P&L Simulation
  • Proven experience delivering Front Office workstreams within large-scale Murex implementation, upgrade, or transformation programmes.
  • Strong business analysis and stakeholder management capabilities.
Product Knowledge
Strong experience across multiple asset classes, including:
  • Foreign Exchange (FX)
  • Money Markets
  • Interest Rate Derivatives (IRS, CCS)
  • Equity Derivatives
  • Credit Derivatives
  • Commodities
  • Fixed Income Products
Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of the full trade lifecycle across Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, and Finance.
  • Experience producing BRDs, FDDs, and Functional Specifications.
  • Familiarity with Murex platform upgrades, migrations, and reconciliation activities.
  • Understanding of Murex data models, MxML messaging, and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Master's Degree will be advantageous but is not mandatory.
