About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Murex Integration Lead to join a major banking transformation programme. This role will be responsible for leading the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of Murex MX.3 integration solutions across Front Office, Risk, Finance, Operations, and Technology domains.
As the subject matter expert for Murex integration, you will drive integration architecture, migration strategy, workflow development, and stakeholder engagement while leading a team of consultants and developers in a complex capital markets environment.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Architecture & Solution Design
- Lead the design and implementation of MX.3 integration architecture, interfaces, and enterprise data flows.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to gather requirements and define integration solutions.
- Develop functional and technical design specifications for integration initiatives.
- Drive integration strategy across trading, risk, finance, operations, settlement, and regulatory platforms.
- Design and develop MxML import and export workflows across trade capture, confirmations, settlements, market data, and regulatory reporting.
- Configure and maintain integration workflows, interfaces, and data transformation logic.
- Build and enhance custom integration components, automation processes, and monitoring solutions.
- Support implementation of Murex packaged interfaces and third-party connectivity solutions.
- Lead integration workstreams for large-scale Murex transformation and migration programmes.
- Manage migration of legacy platforms and interfaces into the Murex MX.3 ecosystem.
- Drive integration testing, reconciliation, cutover planning, and production deployment activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful end-to-end integration delivery.
- Design and implement integrations for market data platforms, pricing feeds, reference data, and downstream applications.
- Support SWIFT messaging integrations and payment workflows.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise integration standards, governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and mentor a team of Murex integration consultants and developers.
- Manage delivery timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
- Provide regular project updates to programme leadership and governance committees.
- Drive best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience working with Murex MX.3 within corporate or investment banking environments.
- Proven experience leading Murex integration workstreams on large-scale transformation programmes.
- Strong expertise in MxML Exchange design, workflow development, integration architecture, and system migration.
- Experience delivering integration solutions across Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Operations domains.
- Strong understanding of trade lifecycle processes across capital markets products.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- MxML Exchange
- XML, XSLT, JSON
- Java / J2EE
- Python
- SQL
- Unix / Linux Shell Scripting
- Experience with enterprise integration technologies such as Apache Camel, IBM MQ, Kafka, or equivalent middleware platforms.
- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, and Maven.
- Knowledge of Murex APIs, MXOpenConnect, and integration frameworks.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Murex certifications or formal Murex training will be highly advantageous.
