About the Role
We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our Managed Services team. The role involves analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing network infrastructure and application components. You will ensure smooth delivery of network operations, manage incidents and changes, and provide recommendations on network configurations and installations to maintain high performance and compliance with security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage network-related incident and change management processes.
- Commission, decommission, and perform tech refresh of network devices.
- Facilitate problem-solving and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure smooth delivery of network operations in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Perform firmware updates and ensure network infrastructure complies with security policies.
- Prepare and maintain asset records, ensuring availability and capacity reporting.
- Update process and procedural documentation.
- Handle ad-hoc duties related to network operations and service delivery.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business IT, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in network administration and implementation (5 years preferred).
- Good knowledge of:
- Firewall technologies (high availability, virtual firewall concepts)
- IP load balancers
- Distribution and core switches
- Router configuration (high availability)
- LAN and WAN administration
- CCNP certification preferred.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with ability to provide quick resolutions.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Understanding of services business in a high-tech environment from supplier, integrator, or operator perspectives.
