About the Role
We are hiring an Operations Engineer to support the reliability, performance, and day-to-day operations of our servers and applications. You will work hands-on across Linux systems, databases, Kubernetes, and middleware services to ensure stable production environments and continuous service availability. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, automation, and improving operational efficiency through good engineering practices and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations & Support
- Perform daily maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of servers and applications.
- Respond to incidents, investigate root causes, and implement fixes or preventive actions.
- Linux System Administration
- Manage and optimize Linux environments, including log analysis and basic security hardening.
- Support basic networking and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Database Operations
- Maintain and operate databases including MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
- Assist with routine database tasks such as performance checks, backups/restore support, and issue diagnosis.
- Kubernetes
- Deploy, manage, and configure Kubernetes clusters and related resources.
- Work with core Kubernetes objects (e.g., Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Ingress) to support applications.
- Big Data Platform (Hadoop Ecosystem)
- Install, maintain, and support Hadoop ecosystem components such as HDFS, HBase, Hive, and YARN.
- Middleware Services
- Deploy and maintain middleware and infrastructure services including Kafka, Elasticsearch, Zookeeper, and Nginx.
- Automation & Documentation
- Write and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and SOPs.
- Build automation scripts/tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual work.
- 3+ years of experience in system operations / SRE / infrastructure support or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in Linux and basic networking fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
- Experience with Kafka, Elasticsearch, Zookeeper, and Nginx.
- Good communication skills and strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes, including key resource objects and configurations.
- Familiarity with maintaining Hadoop components (HDFS, HBase, Hive, YARN).
- Experience with monitoring/alerting tools and operational best practices (incident handling, postmortems, etc.).
