About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Pega Application Developer to design, build, and configure mission-critical applications on the Pega Platform. You will be the subject matter expert (SME) for Pega within the team, driving technical decisions, guiding best practices, and ensuring solutions meet both business process and application requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Design & Development
- Design, build, and configure Pega applications to meet business and technical requirements.
- Serve as the Pega SME, ensuring adherence to platform best practices, guardrails, and design standards.
- Develop innovative, user-centric solutions that enhance the user experience and support business outcomes.
- Drive Design & Build Enablement, including reusable components, templates, and patterns.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of applications to ensure functional correctness, stability, and performance.
- Partner with QA and business stakeholders to define and execute unit, integration, system, and UAT test scenarios.
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects and performance issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure solutions are robust, maintainable, and compliant with internal quality and security standards.
- Work with cross-functional teams (Business Analysts, Architects, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure) to gather and refine requirements.
- Provide technical insights and feasibility assessments during requirement and design discussions.
- Participate in design reviews, sprint ceremonies, and technical workshops.
- Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide technical leadership to a team of Pega developers.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, conducting code reviews and sharing best practices.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, automation, and quality.
- Take ownership of team-level technical decisions and contribute to multi-team architecture and design discussions.
- Oversee Pega application configuration and deployment across environments.
- Work closely with DevOps / Release Management teams to implement robust CI/CD pipelines for Pega.
- Ensure proper versioning, deployment documentation, and change control processes are followed.
- Citizenship: Singapore Citizen (required for Cat 1 clearance).
- Certification: Pega Certified System Architect (CSA) – mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on Pega development experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Pega Platform (case design, data models, flows, activities, UI, integrations, etc.).
- Strong understanding of Pega application architecture and design patterns.
- Experience with configuration and release management for Pega applications (e.g., product rules, deployments across environments).
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable engaging with multiple teams and stakeholders at different levels.
- Ability to take ownership of technical decisions and drive them to closure.
