About the Role
We are seeking an Application Developer (Pega Cloud) to design, build, and configure applications that support critical business processes and application requirements. You will act as a subject matter expert (SME) on Pega Cloud, collaborating with cross-functional teams, guiding technical decisions, and contributing to solution design across multiple squads. You will also be responsible for solving complex problems for your immediate team and supporting broader initiatives across teams. This is a hands-on development role with strong emphasis on Pega Cloud configuration, application development, and solution design.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Development
- Design, build, and configure Pega Cloud applications to meet business and technical requirements.
- Develop innovative, scalable, and maintainable solutions that enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
- Apply best practices in Pega application design, ensuring reuse, maintainability, and compliance with guardrails.
- Configure and customise Pega Cloud applications to align with business processes and policies.
- Implement integrations, data models, UI components, and business rules within the Pega Cloud environment.
- Optimise application performance, reliability, and scalability on Pega Cloud.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, testers, and other developers to refine requirements and translate them into technical designs.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and architecture forums.
- Contribute to key technical decisions impacting multiple teams and systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application and platform issues, providing L3 support where required.
- Work with operations and support teams to ensure smooth deployment and stable operations.
- Stay updated with the latest Pega and cloud-related trends to continuously improve development practices and solution quality.
- Contribute to internal standards, frameworks, and best practices for Pega Cloud development.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Pega application development.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Pega application development.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Expert proficiency in Pega Cloud (configuration, deployment, environment usage).
- Expert-level proficiency in Pega Software Application Development (case management, UI, rules, data, integrations, reports).
- Advanced proficiency in Application Design, including modular design, reusable components, and scalable architecture.
- Core Competencies:
- Solid understanding of end-to-end SDLC, particularly in Pega-based projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose practical, high-quality solutions.
- Ability to act as an SME within the team, owning technical decisions and guiding implementation.
