About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Platform Operations Engineer to support and improve our on-premise infrastructure. You’ll administer Linux and Windows servers, keep core platforms like Elastic, IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM), and Kafka healthy, and uphold strong operational hygiene through patching, documentation, and recovery procedures.
What You’ll Do
- Administer & troubleshoot Linux and Windows operating systems (on-premise).
- Operate & support Elastic, ISAM, and Kafka applications (installation, configuration, upgrades, tuning, incident recovery).
- Maintain runbooks/SOPs and configuration standards; keep asset and change records current.
- Execute disaster recovery activities and participate in DR drills; document outcomes and follow-ups.
- Harden & patch systems in response to vulnerability reports; track remediation to closure.
- Analyze & resolve incidents/problems; identify root causes and implement preventive fixes.
- Continuously learn new tools/technologies using documentation and reputable resources.
- Collaborate effectively with teammates and stakeholders; balance independent work with team delivery.
Must-have
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in systems administration/operations.
- Strong Linux and Windows administration skills in an on-premise environment (services, users/ACLs, networking basics, logs, backups, patching).
- Experience with Elastic, Kafka, and/or IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM).
- Kubernetes exposure (cluster operations, troubleshooting).
- AWS, Red Hat OpenShift, and GitLab(CI/CD, repos, runners) experience.
- Solid analytical/problem-solving skills; clear written and verbal communication.
