Regional Sustainability & Regulatory Analyst (12 Months Contract) 

Our client is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Sustainability Regulatory Analyst to support the monitoring, analysis, and implementation of sustainability regulations across the Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) region. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about sustainability, policy, and regulatory compliance within a dynamic, global environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor, analyse, and support implementation of sustainability regulations across APJ markets
  • Maintain and update a regulatory roadmap and compliance dashboard for regional requirements
  • Track and support compliance across areas such as WEEE, batteries, packaging, eco-design, waste, ESG, climate, and circular economy initiatives
  • Develop policy analysis and compliance guidance to support internal stakeholders
  • Engage with industry associations, policymakers, and stakeholders to stay informed on regulatory developments and support advocacy efforts
  • Act as a regional subject matter contributor for specific regulatory topics, collaborating with global teams
  • Work cross-regionally to provide a global regulatory overview and ensure alignment
  • Support compliance transformation initiatives and sustainability programs
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Policy, Sustainability, Environmental Management, Environmental Law, or related field
  • Experience in sustainability, policy, or regulatory compliance roles
  • Strong understanding of sustainability regulations and compliance frameworks
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, both internal and external
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive and self-driven approach
Preferred
  • Experience or knowledge in areas such as WEEE, ESG, climate policy, circular economy, or supply chain responsibility
  • Exposure to policy-making environments or regulatory bodies
  • Experience managing or contributing to compliance-related projects
  • Technical skills in data analysis, Power BI, or AI tools
