Reporting To: Director of Sales – MICE & Catering
Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Manager – Catering Sales to join our client's team. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing catering and event business, including corporate functions, weddings, banquets, and social events. The ideal candidate is highly service-oriented, sales-driven, and experienced in managing client relationships in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and develop new catering sales opportunities
through direct sales, networking, and referrals.
- Manage a portfolio of corporate and social event clients, maintaining strong relationships to ensure repeat business.
- Work closely with F&B, Banquet, and Event Operations
teams to ensure smooth execution of all functions.
- Prepare and present sales proposals, quotations, and contracts
tailored to client needs and budget.
- Conduct site inspections
and coordinate with relevant departments for customized event planning.
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets, contributing to the hotel’s overall catering revenue.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities
to identify opportunities and threats.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, bookings, and pipeline in the CRM system.
- Participate in sales events, exhibitions, and promotional activities
to promote the hotel’s catering offerings.
- Ensure all client communication and service delivery is aligned with Orchard Hotel's standards of excellence.
- Diploma/Degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of catering or banquet sales experience
in a hotel or event venue.
- Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and manage high-pressure situations with professionalism.
- Proficient in MS Office and hotel sales systems (e.g., Delphi, Opera Sales & Catering, etc.).
- Pleasant personality with a customer-first mindset and team-player attitude.
