About the Role As a Sales Manager (MICE / Rooms) at our client's property, you will drive business growth by managing our group events, meetings, and room sales. You will work closely with internal departments to deliver exceptional experiences for clients, maximize occupancy and revenue for rooms and meeting spaces, and expand our presence in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Events) sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead sales efforts for MICE clients and large group room bookings, including proposal creation, quoting, and contract negotiation.

  • Manage existing client accounts as well as develop new business through networking, site inspections, events, and roadshows.

  • Collaborate with Banquets / Event Operations, Front Office, Revenue Management, and Catering teams to ensure seamless execution of events and group bookings.

  • Track and forecast rooms & event revenue; monitor performance metrics and suggest improvements in pricing, packaging, and yield.

  • Coordinate site inspections and familiarization trips for potential clients; maintain active relationships with MICE intermediaries and venues.

  • Prepare and submit regular reports (weekly/monthly) on sales pipeline, group performance, and market trends.

Qualifications & Skills
  • At least 1–5 years’ experience in a similar sales role within hotels, specifically in MICE, meetings or group rooms sales.

  • Strong negotiation skills, with a proven track record of closing large deals and managing key accounts.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills; ability to build relationships and influence clients at senior levels.

  • Solid understanding of room inventory, revenue strategies, and rate negotiation.

  • Proficiency in hotel sales and event management software (e.g. Opera or Delphi), plus Microsoft Office suite.

  • Self-motivated, target-driven, with excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
