About the Role
Our client, a leading organization in Singapore, is seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to join their team on a 1-year contract. You will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing SAP landscapes, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. In this role, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders, external partners, and business users to deliver secure and reliable SAP solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain SAP applications and the SAP NetWeaver Suite.
- Manage system copies, upgrades, patches, and migrations across SAP landscapes.
- Work with security teams to implement role-based access controls (RBAC)
and authorization policies.
- Administer the SAP Transport Management System (TMS)
for system changes and deployments.
- Monitor system performance and health using SAP Solution Manager (SolMan)
and related tools.
- Perform Oracle Database administration, including table space management, reorganization, and patching.
- Apply SAP OSS notes, kernel patches, support packages, and upgrades.
- Ensure system resilience through backups, high availability, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Configure and manage Secure File Transfer (SFT)
for SAP–external system data exchange.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Document system configurations, best practices, and troubleshooting guidelines.
- Work closely with SAP, external vendors, and internal teams to support project success.
- Report to the SAP Basis Technical Lead
and Project Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related IT discipline.
- 3+ years of SAP Basis experience
with ECC, BW, BI, and Fiori.
- Experience with SAP NetWeaver Suite
on Windows/Unix platforms and Oracle (or other databases).
- Strong understanding of ECC and NetWeaver architecture
and integrations with SAP/Non-SAP systems.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Transport Management System (TMS).
- Knowledge of SAP security, authentication, and SSO integration (Kerberos).
- Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner)
is an advantage.
- SAP Basis and OS/DB certifications
are preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
