Job Description We are seeking a SAP BASIS Consultant on a contract basis to support the administration, monitoring, and security of SAP systems. This role focuses on maintaining system performance, stability, and compliance while working closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform SAP system monitoring and health checks for key components such as application servers, databases, and background jobs
- Manage SAP user access, roles, and authorizations in accordance with security policies
- Support SAP transport management processes across system landscapes (development, quality, production)
- Troubleshoot system issues through log analysis, including update records and spool requests
- Assist in backup, restore, and system copy activities
- Support system upgrades, patching, and kernel updates
- Collaborate with technical and functional teams to resolve system-related issues
- Maintain proper documentation for system configurations, incidents, and resolutions
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in SAP BASIS or SAP system administration
- Exposure to SAP security and authorization concepts (roles, profiles, user access)
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline
- Basic understanding of SAP system architecture and transport management
- Familiarity with databases (e.g., SAP HANA, Oracle) and operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows) is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Experience with:
- PFCG (role maintenance)
- SU01 / SU10 (user administration)
- Authorization tools (e.g., SU53, ST01)
- SAP monitoring tools (e.g., Solution Manager, CCMS)
- Exposure to audit and compliance requirements (e.g., segregation of duties)
- Experience in SAP upgrades, migrations, or performance tuning is a plus
- Employment Type: Contract
- Contract Duration: 12 months (renewable, subject to performance and business needs)
- Salary Range:$6,000 – $6,400 per month
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, office hours
