Senior Accountant – Compensation & Benefits (12 Months Contract) 
Location: Singapore

Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our client's Finance team in Singapore. This role is responsible for a broad range of accounting activities, including application of US GAAP and local GAAP, monthly financial close, payroll and commission accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit support.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic, and SOX-compliant environment, with strong exposure to regional or global accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support APJ General Ledger operations, including payroll and commission accounting close.

  • Perform monthly close activities, including preparation and posting of journal entries in full compliance with SOX controls.

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of general ledger account reconciliations, in accordance with SOX requirements.

  • Prepare monthly P&L and balance sheet fluctuation analyses for management reporting.

  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and local GAAP, providing accounting guidance to the wider finance organisation.

  • Coordinate with US HQ Finance and regional stakeholders to ensure alignment with corporate accounting policies.

  • Support annual external audits and ensure local statutory audits are completed on time.

  • Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to global and regional finance initiatives to enhance controls, trust, and operational efficiency.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • CPA or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.

  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in Public Accounting.

  • Experience in payroll and commission accounting is highly preferred.

  • Broad exposure to local and regional/global GL accounting.

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and local GAAP, with exposure to APAC and Japan accounting environments.

  • Hands-on experience with Workday Financials, including multi-currency and multi-country ledgers.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Advanced Excel and data analytics skills; Tableau experience is an advantage.
