Senior Innovation Program Manager (12 Months Contract) | Payments & Fintech

About the Role
Our client, a leading global payments company, is looking for an Innovation Program Manager to support the day-to-day operations and delivery of its Innovation Lab.

This is a hands-on program management role where you will coordinate multiple innovation initiatives, bring cross-functional teams together, manage governance and reporting, and ensure projects move effectively from concept through execution.

You will work closely with Product, Technology, Design, Business, university and external ecosystem stakeholders across emerging areas such as AI, Agentic Commerce, Stablecoins and next-generation payment innovations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate multiple innovation projects and squads, including project intake, squad formation, sprint planning, progress tracking, demos and reporting.

  • Manage the Innovation Lab’s operating rhythm, ensuring initiatives, resources, onboarding and day-to-day activities run smoothly.

  • Maintain project pipelines, dashboards, trackers and governance processes to provide clear visibility on progress, risks and priorities.

  • Coordinate workshops, innovation showcases, ecosystem engagements and stakeholder meetings, including logistics, communications and follow-up actions.

  • Support university engagement programmes, student work-study opportunities, campus talks, workshops and innovation challenges.

  • Coordinate budgets, procurement and other operational requirements across Innovation Lab activities.

  • Prepare executive-ready presentations, status updates and communications for senior stakeholders.

  • Work across Product, Technology, Design, Business and external partners to drive initiatives forward.

  • Leverage AI tools to improve planning, reporting, content creation, communication and overall program delivery.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in program management, innovation, product operations, consulting, technology delivery, partnerships, fintech or related functions.

  • Strong program and project management capabilities, with experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives and competing priorities.

  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across senior and cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level presentations and updates.

  • Experience managing budgets, procurement activities, operational trackers and program reporting.

  • Proactive, self-motivated and comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.

  • Strong AI-first mindset, with practical experience using AI tools to improve day-to-day productivity and program execution.

  • Experience in fintech, payments, AI, innovation labs, accelerators or innovation programmes.

  • Experience working with universities, startups or external innovation ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with innovation sprints, AI-enabled delivery or emerging technology programmes.

  • Knowledge of emerging technologies such as Agentic AI, Stablecoins, Tokenisation or Digital Assets.

  • Experience coordinating workshops, innovation showcases, industry events or speaking engagements.
