About the Role
Our client is seeking a Payroll Analyst to support the APAC/CEMEA region, ensuring payroll processes remain accurate, compliant, and aligned with applicable legislation and internal policies.
The role will work closely with internal stakeholders and payroll partners, while also driving payroll analytics, process improvements, audits, controls and regional payroll projects. The successful candidate should be comfortable working with large volumes of data and using technology to identify insights and improve payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and validate payroll processing results using reports, macros and technology across multiple countries.
- Conduct post-payroll audits, reporting and payroll metrics, including tracking and analysing errors.
- Review payroll processes to identify opportunities for process improvement, standardisation and risk mitigation.
- Establish and document payroll processes, procedures, process maps and training materials.
- Support and oversee payroll projects and change requests, tracking progress and reporting to key stakeholders.
- Interpret payroll policies, statutory requirements and government regulations to ensure accurate payroll calculations and deductions.
- Maintain payroll systems and tools to ensure accurate processing of earnings, benefits, deductions, taxes and other payroll-related items.
- Review manual checks and payroll adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with applicable government payroll requirements and stay updated on legislative changes.
- Support payroll system testing for system upgrades and legislative updates.
- Coordinate internal and external payroll audits and related compliance documentation.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Ensure payroll data is handled in accordance with confidential data-handling requirements.
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Human Resources or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of APAC payroll experience as a Payroll Analyst or Consultant within a large, multi-country organisation.
- 3+ years of project management experience as part of a project team.
- Strong knowledge of APAC payroll legislation, statutory requirements and regulations.
- Experience with multi-country payroll and payroll-related projects will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with Philippines payroll/timekeeping is preferred.
- Exposure to payroll and timekeeping systems such as ADP GlobalView, Streamline and eTime is advantageous.
- Experience with knowledge transfer activities, including transition planning, process documentation, desktop procedures and payroll checklists.
- Strong organisational, analytical and planning skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and working within tight timelines.
- Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with payroll vendors and stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
