About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect to lead a team of engineers in managing infrastructure and security-related tasks across enterprise applications. This role requires strong technical expertise in networking, server administration, database management, and enterprise architecture, combined with proven leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Technical Application (TA) engineers handling infrastructure and security tasks.
- Take ownership of multiple enterprise application products (e.g., WebSphere, IBM MQ, QlikSense, SharePoint, Pega) and oversee operational aspects such as patching and application support.
- Participate in application architecture sessions, providing inputs on integration points (Web services, MQ, SFTP).
- Define and implement operational processes including:
- OS-level patching
- Application-level patching
- Backup and recovery
- Housekeeping and archival
- Troubleshoot application and infrastructure-related issues, providing onsite support when required (including after office hours).
- Monitor and maintain IT systems and application assets for the project.
- Administer databases (Oracle 19c, MSSQL).
- Ensure compliance with government-level security concepts in hardening, scanning, and posture management.
- Intermediate knowledge of networking.
- Intermediate server administration for Windows and Unix operating systems.
- Strong understanding of enterprise 3-tier architecture.
- Ability to design, set up, and configure fault-tolerant and highly available systems.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Oracle 19c database administration.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in leading a technical team.
- Familiarity with Agile processes and SDLC tools.
- Scripting experience (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Understanding of web applications from front-end to back-end servers and databases.
- Knowledge of virtualization, containerization, and cloud computing infrastructure.
- Familiarity with IT security hardening and vulnerability assessment.
- Practical experience with Oracle GoldenGate (OGG).
- Familiarity with Oracle AWR reports.
- Knowledge of infrastructure security processes and tools.
