About the Role
We are seeking a Wintel Engineer to join our Managed Services team. This role involves providing SME support in workplace management, including planning, installation, and administration of endpoint and cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, implementing automation, and supporting escalations related to workplace management tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, test, and maintain endpoint hardware, OS images, applications, drivers, and updates.
- Plan and support patch management and software distribution services.
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS/Azure infrastructure and services (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, Azure App Services, SQL Database, Functions, etc.).
- Collaborate with development teams to deploy cloud‑native applications.
- Implement automation and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) using CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve AWS/Azure infrastructure and connectivity issues.
- Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Provide administration of workplace management tools (e.g., HCL BigFix, MS SCCM, Citrix VDI, Nexthink).
- Perform QA testing for endpoint changes and streamline operational processes.
- Maintain documentation and reports.
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with Windows Servers, Active Directory, PowerShell, Group Policy Objects, and workplace management tools.
- Strong knowledge of PC imaging deployment, patch management, and software distribution.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS and Azure services, networking, and security best practices.
- Familiarity with IaC tools (CloudFormation, Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Scripting skills (Python, Shell, etc.).
- Certifications in AWS/Azure are advantageous.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Self‑driven and able to work independently.
