Client & Project Overview
We are seeking an experienced Workday specialist to join our Business & Technology Integration team in support of a Workday HCM Implementation project. Our client is a leading organization in the financial services sector undergoing a major HR modernization and transformation program. As the Workday Advanced Compensation Solution Architect & Functional Lead, you will be accountable for shaping end-to-end business and system solutions that deliver measurable value. You’ll lead current-state assessments, define high-level business requirements, design future-state processes, and ensure solutions align with the client’s strategic objectives. You will act as a subject matter expert (SME) in Workday Core HCM and Advanced Compensation, providing functional leadership, guidance, and decision-making support across the project team.

Key Responsibilities

1) Solution Architecture & Design
  • Lead design workshops and discussions; define business and functional requirements
  • Architect scalable solutions leveraging Workday Advanced Compensation and Core HCM capabilities
  • Identify opportunities to drive business value through process optimization, automation, and best-practice configurations
  • Develop and present business cases and solution recommendations to senior stakeholders

2) Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Provide functional leadership across design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities
  • Manage key decisions, resolve cross-team issues, and ensure consistent solution delivery across workstreams
  • Partner closely with client stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to support integration across the program
  • Serve as an escalation point to diagnose and resolve build-related issues to keep delivery smooth and on track

3) Strategic Advisory & Continuous Improvement
  • Conduct market/process/organizational analysis to identify enhancements and new opportunities
  • Recommend innovative strategies to improve efficiency, user experience, and operational effectiveness
  • Champion continuous improvement across methodologies, tools, and Workday project delivery practices

Requirements (Must-Have)
  • Workday Advanced Compensation Certification — mandatory
  • Workday Core HCM Certification — required (prerequisite to Advanced Compensation)
  • Strong expertise in Workday Core HCM and Advanced Compensation, with solution architect-level experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end HR processes in large-scale and/or complex organizations
  • Proven ability to lead teams, influence senior stakeholders, and drive alignment across multiple groups
  • Strong problem-solving and structured thinking with the ability to deliver scalable, future-ready solutions
