DevOps Support Engineer (1yr contract)
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the reliability and availability of a data transportation system.
- Maintain day-to-day operations of the production infrastructure.
- Develop and improve robustness and transparency of the system with better instrumentation for monitoring the health and availability of the system.
- Improve operational efficiency via scripting and automation.
- Support users of the system troubleshoot production issues and complete manual tasks that are not yet automated or require human touch.
- Participate cross functionally with stakeholders to drive integrations and onboardings of new projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong in automation/scripting skills. Proficiency in python is a must.
- Experience working with Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, SQS, etc) is a must.
- Proficiency with Linux
- Familiarity with yum and RPM
- Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation and runbooks.
- Knowledge of version control software
- A strong ownership attitude and ability to communicate effectively and drive projects to completion
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- More than 2 years of experience is preferred
