Roles and Responsibilities
- Analyze the needs, scope the problem and develop business cases to address the problem.
- Gather and document requirements, source and evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions that best fits the needs, while aligning with Agency's technology directions.
- Work with endor and app vendor on the solutions and design to seek clarification and acceptance.
- Work with users to ensure smooth deployment, adoption of new solution and operation of the solution.
- Perform business analysis:
a. Identify stakeholders, techniques and processes to manage, track and trace
requirements
b. Refine and clarify business need, define solution scope and develop business case
c. Explore, identify and document business needs
d. Assess current state, analyze stated requirements of stakeholders and elaborate to sufficient detail that accurately defines business need within specified scope.
e. Source and evaluate solutions that best fits business need, identify gaps, and
determine workarounds/changes to the solution. Assess deployed solutions to see how well they met the original need.
f. Review testing to verify that specifications are met.
g. Manage conflicts, issues and changes to ensure stakeholders and project team remain in agreement on solution scope, communicate and manage expectations of stakeholders. - Plan and conduct user research to investigate user needs and synthesise insights to develop UX flow.
- Assess business needs for service requests and the impact of enhancements to the system.
- Develop wireframes, prototypes and customer journey maps to communicate, test and refine concepts with stakeholders through iterative processes.
- Perform research and interviews with stakeholders to identify best UI components and visual design for development.
- Identify and set up web analytics metrics with the support teams to measure user experience on Digital Services.
- Work with support teams to troubleshoot issues related to the front-end technologies, design system, user interfaces and web analytics and related design system tools.
- Conduct user interfaces design reviews with the team.
- Improve usability, accessibility and interaction with the product to enhance user
satisfaction. - Lead and support product showcase and provide feedback to support teams
- Support testing of build system, define acceptance criteria, validate acceptance tests, and manage formal User Acceptance Testing (UAT) including tracking of defects/issues.
- Apply Design Thinking / Service Design methodology and tools to develop and execute the approach to derive current state gaps and challenges, and future state design and solutions
- Plan, design, conduct and/or facilitate briefings, workshops and trainings on product and UX matters.
Knowledge and Skills - Tertiary Education in relevant fields is preferred.
- Past experience that demonstrates strong knowledge in Design Thinking methodology and User-centric design solutions.
- Familiar with interaction design, information architecture and best practices in UX and visual design (including UI) for web and native mobile applications.
- Good team player with good organizational skills.
- Strong analytical, conceptualization and problem-solving skills.
- Able to troubleshoot issues with front-end user interface design and technologies.
- Good communication and presentation skills with the ability to pitch ideas, collaborate and influence.
- A driven and motivated personality with an inquisitive mind.
- Strong knowledge in UX, design principles, colour theory and typography.
- Experience in designing high performing and user-centric UI (E.g. in web design and mobile apps) is highly desirable.
- Experience with Figma, Google Analytics to measure user-experience, Adobe Creative Suite, E.g. Photoshop, is highly desirable.
- Experience in web application development, Cloud computing and front-end technologies (such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Vue.js), testing methodologies for front-end UI will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency with one or more of the programming languages such as .Net, Java will be an added advantage.
- Experience in Agile and UX development environment will be an added advantage.
