Job Description

Job Objectives

  • Responsible for creating, evaluating, designing, developing and maintaining software applications, including L3 support of production application systems

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop print document templates using GUI tool provided by software vendor.
  • Modify existing or create new programs using Unix Shell and/or Windows Batch Scripts as part of system enhancements or projects.
  • Analyze and review new enhancements for compatibility, adhere to operating guidelines and perform integration testing.
  • Work with Test manager to formulate comprehensive system test plan aligned with project scope/Change request, quality requirements and targets.
  • Collaborate with UAT team to create test plans, analyze test cases, identify and escalate issues to appropriate teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain efficiency, consistency and achieve successful implementation of application changes.
  • Prepare and present status reports, implementation task lists, roll-back plan for the release management committee.
  • Conduct planning with vendor to support project requirements.

Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or relevant qualification.
  • 2 years of working experience in application development and implementation, preferably in ecommerce, Branch Teller systems, customer eDelivery related projects.
  • Experience with LINUX/UNIX/Windows platform, including Unix shell scripts and Windows batch programing.
  • Experience in application development using Java,MQ, Websphere/Weblogic is a plus
  • Experience with document formatting solutions like Papyrus/PrintSoft/Pitney Bowes is a plus.
  • Willingness to work over the weekend and after business hours, as may be required, to support application deployments and/or production support.
  • Good conceptual and analytical skills - demonstrating outside-the-box problem solving skills.
  • Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with excellent time-management skills.
