One of our top tier financial service provider client is on the hunt for their next Big Data Engineer to join their fast-growing team in Singapore to build a major big data lake. This role is expected to start ASAP for a 10 months contract. This is a great opportunity for a Big Data Engineer to hit the ground running and work with industry leading tools and technology.
Key responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design, build and running of data platforms to bring increased flexibility, scalability and efficiency to the Brand Analytics, Marketing team
- Implement data pipelines to transform and present data
- Development of data driven products
- Participate in the end-to-end responsibility for product development
- Design architecture for data flow as well as preparing Bigdata infrastructure for advanced analytics
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering with at least 4 years' software design and development experience in a Bigdata environment
- Extensive working experience in Bigdata querying tools like HIVE and experience with Spark and UNIX
- Strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design optimized for building highly distributed systems
- Ability to initiate and drive projects with limited supervision
