The Opportunity
We are looking for a Business Analyst with SharePoint implementation experience to join our client's Digital Initiatives Team. The Business Analyst will work with various department users to analyze business processes and setup a knowledge base of applications, process, solutions via SharePoint.

This role will lead all SharePoint Portal migration requirements gathering and analysis activities, design the SharePoint department sites, leverage the full suite of SharePoint capability to meet business requirements, populate the contents, participate in testing activities, and help design methods and procedures for internal and external projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture SharePoint migration requirements for design and development using requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, business analysis, and process journeys.
  • Gather and evaluate from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into detail, identify risks, and feasibility analysis.
  • Design, organize, build and maintain SharePoint sites across departments and migrate relevant content from the old SOK to the new SOK SharePoint portal.
  • Translate technical information into business language to ensure understanding of the requirements by both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with all stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Functional requirements (Business Requirements Document), Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs.
  • Operate as the liaison between the business units, technology teams, and support teams.
  • Support the project manager and other team members in planning deliverables, scope, schedule, and other aspects of the project.
  • Provide the necessary training and knowledge to End Users for adoption of SharePoint Platform.

Your Background

  • Degree holder in Information Systems, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • Has 6+ years of IT project management experience, with at least 2+ years of SharePoint maintenance experience and/or SharePoint portal project experience
  • Candidate must have hands-on experience and proven expertise of the following technologies: Microsoft SharePoint, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Project Management
  • Good understanding of Microsoft SharePoint architecture, components, and configuration
  • Understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures
  • Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills including strong persuasive techniques
  • Able to lead, develop and maintain respectful and trusting relationships
  • Comfortable with systems, processes, technology
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous and fluid situations with changing circumstances, while adhering to tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated with a positive "can-do" attitude
  • Certification in Microsoft SharePoint is a must
  • Business Analyst Certification would be preferred
