The Opportunity

Responsibilities:

  • Work with cross functional team within supply chain and suppliers to ensure there are no stock out situation and at the same time meet delivery metrics and inventory target as a team
  • End to end purchasing activities : from PO placement, monitor & action (pull in / push out), follow up and update latest delivery status till dock local warehouse
  • Daily review overdue supplies delivery and within 1 week delivery
  • Replenishment of PO to cover forecast
  • Monitor and make assessment on supplies situation
  • Aging finished goods pull validation
  • Re-boxing of damage box
  • Site rebalance of supplies whenever required
  • Timely dispose non-useable materials
  • New product introduction setup
  • Resolve supplier invoicing issue
  • Handle returns to supplier
  • Roll up weekly escalation list
  • Attend weekly conference call with WW on supplies shortage
  • Update or create new documentation for process
  • Manage a broad range of moderately complex supply chain processes in supplies planning
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and develops recommendations
  • Drive backlog management
  • Coordinate or lead internal team to maintain and enhance the current business processes.
  • Conduct post mortem and reviews performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement

Your Background

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree with equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in performing a buyer role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated understanding of supply chain processes (plan, source, make delivery).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, fast learner and ability to multi-task
  • Strong SAP / IBP know how
  • Good understanding of China custom regulations
  • Developed Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and other analytical aids to help manage the operation
  • Demonstrated business acumen and technical knowledge within the area of responsibility.
  • Moderate level of knowledge of inventory analysis
  • Independent , self-driven and good sense of urgency
