The Opportunity
- Work in a 24 x 7 x 365 onsite DC operations environment (shift + oncall)
- Access management
- Perform DC access verification process for visitors
- Manage the access of physical keys to protected areas
- Monitor and escort visitors to restricted areas and ensure all visitors are tracked using Visitor Tracking System
- Enforce and manage access to DC site and equipment rack
- Datacenter & assets Management
- Coordinate and support updates of rack configuration and inventory records, in collaboration with facilities team
- Uphold and manage data center physical environment, in collaboration with facilities team
- Assist on fire alarm buzzer, gas release and other actions as advised by Facilities team
- Perform tracking of data center physical assets via radio frequency identification
- Data Centre capacity planning (excluding AC, Power)
- Assist on Physical installation of servers and Removal of redundant equipment from the DC
- On-site assistance for conducting tests or Server and storage diagnosis
- Power off and on of hardware on request
- Server and Backup Spare Management.
- Backup Management
- Comply with backup tape handling procedures including liaising with the appointed remote tape storage vendor for secure dispatch and recall of backup tapes from secured remote storage
- Ensure all security procedures relating to backup tape transit are observed
- Monitor and escalate issues in backup tape operating environment such as tape library and storage room
- Maintain and route hotline numbers to Level 2 infrastructure teams when escalation required

- 2 years of relevant experience in data centre operations
- Due to project sensitivity, only Singaporean can apply
