The Opportunity
We are looking for a driven, high energy, experienced, hands-on professional to join our client's Finance Operations team in APAC. The successful candidate must be a driven, high energy, customer service focused individual that can work well with internal and external customers at all levels. This position is based in Singapore and reports to the Head of APAC Payroll.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and review payroll for multiple countries and entities in APAC region - ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance to local requirements
  • Build and manage payroll process to ensure adequate internal controls, drive efficiencies and process improvements as well as timely review of payroll computations
  • Collaboration with internal and external partners (Payroll Service Provider, HR, Benefit and Stocks Team, authorities and auditors)
  • Take charge and support payroll compliance and filings as well as ad hoc requests from local statutory authorities and Internal Audit. Ensure strict adherence to SOX and compliance requirements
  • Evaluate internal work processes and service deliveries, make recommendations and support implementing improvement for process efficiencies to scale
  • Support any ongoing Finance global/ regional operations projects as required
  • Support other operation task as assigned

Your Background
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Finance or Business Degree or Diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years relevant experience in regional Payroll Operations within APAC region and with a fast-growing multi-national company
  • Experience and ability to work effectively with outsourced payroll vendors and geographically dispersed teams
  • Highly organized, meticulous and has the ability to multi-task in a fast paced working environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, fluency in English, hands-on, resourceful and a team player
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills with desire for continuous improvement
  • Proficient in MS Office and relevant software, particularly strong in Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in handling Singapore/ Indonesia/ New Zealand payroll
  • Experience with Workday
  • Knowledge of General Ledger Accounting
  • Experience in payroll transformation project in APAC
