The Opportunity
- Project manages vendors and contracts to ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Oversee the 24x7 operations of backend infrastructure supporting client's applications
- Manages data centre operations (e.g. UPS, Air-con etc)
- Ensures IT assets (Hardware and software) inventory are kept updated and accounted for at all times.
- Ensures supportability and continuity of client's IT systems with regards to hardware and software assets.
- Monitors and reports on the adequacy of hardware and software in supporting client's IT systems.
- Leads or assists in the planning, implementation and introduction of projects for new systems and technologies.
- Ensures system documentation are up to date and provide support in IT audits
- Ensures that systems comply with the government ICT Infrastructure policies, standards and procedures.
- Supports in project procurement and implementation process, which includes preparation of requirement specifications, evaluation & awards, management of contracts.
Your Background
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and experience:
- Graduate Degree in Computer/Computer Science or Electronics Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of working experience
- Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas is required:
- Operating Systems
- Solaris/Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Solaris Cluster, Microsoft Cluster
- Databases
- Oracle RDBMS, Microsoft SQL Server
- SAN storage and backup technologies
- NetApp Unified Storage, Symantec NetBackup
- Operating Systems
- Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
- G-Cloud and Government Data Centre hosting environments
- Experience in government processes
