The Opportunity

The Senior Financial Analyst position will primarily be responsible for partnering with the Finance Business Leader (FBP) to support the Global Clients team in Asia Pacific in terms of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analyses, data modeling and analytics. The key areas of focus of the job include:

  • Supporting the business teams in the preparation of budget and forecast projections that drive their key financial outcomes
  • Reviewing the forecast/budget submissions and planning assumptions, evaluate and challenge any known deviations from trends with a view to improve accuracy of forecasts
  • Preparing the client level financial statements outlining the key performance metrics - interrogate root cause for variances to planned performance to assist the business in managing their business goals
  • Supporting the incentive deal forecast process that underpin the Global Client deal portfolio
  • Providing advisory and consultative support to the business teams on finance related areas including accounting policies and other compliance requirements

Your Background

Professional

  • Bachelor of Accountancy / Finance (or equivalent)

Technical

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge in financial planning systems such as TM1 and Hyperion
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of forecasting techniques
  • Extremely numerate
  • Strong accounting background, especially revenue/expense recognition rules

Business

  • At least 6 years of experience in finance-related field, with at least 3 years in financial analysis role,
  • preferably from within a large, multi-national, publicly-traded corporation
  • Extensive experience in financial forecasting and modeling
  • Strong interest in / knowledge of the bankcard industry
  • Must be proactive, high-energy, motivated team player capable of delivering on multiple initiatives
