Senior Site Reliability/Devops Engineer
- A global insurer and role is responsible for more than 10 countries in APAC
- Headcount approved and immediate hire
Responsibilities:
- Engage in automating infrastructure provisioning at a regional level (Asia). It may include working with other engineering groups on cross discipline architectures, and providing highly-automated infrastructure systems.
- Responsible for a low-touch, code-driven environment from infrastructure standup to monitoring, networking, platform and network security, predictive analysis and containerization.
- Partner with various development teams and contractors from time to time to implement various initiatives in an automated fashion.
- Act as the escalation point for Operations Center surrounding concerning cutting-edge technologies, and Application Integration team for design/engineering concerns
- Partner with various infrastructure teams within the organization to see which processes and procedures will benefit from automation.
- Document and socialize the knowledge within the team, and across other LBU's.
- Develop best practices and influence the team towards infrastructure as code.
Minimum Requirements:
- >4 years of backend development (Java, Go, C#, .Net)
- >2 years of production experience with Terraform or equivalent infrastructure orchestration tools
- >3 years of production experience with any cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP, Alibaba, etc)
- >3 years of production experience with Kubernetes
- >3 years of production experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Rundeck, Bamboo, etc)
- >5 years of production experience with Linux (RHEL and variants)
- Strong troubleshooting and deduction skills
- Ability to design/architect systems on a large scale using simple and efficient patterns
- Advanced familiarity with any scripting language (Python, Perl, Ruby, Go, Shell)
- Agile practitioner (any variant)
- Substantial understanding of container technologies and the tools/challenges around it
- Strong documentation and knowledge socialization skills

- Track record of open-source contributions (via github, etc)
