The Opportunity

  • Supports SEO/content optimization across all channels in collaboration with marketing, creative and engineering teams. This includes writing metadata, reviewing copy, managing image optimization and testing web pages for SEO
  • Conducts audits of existing content and the search landscape to improve search rankings
  • Collaborates with content/editorial team to ensure SEO is integrated before publishing
  • Partners with web developers to conduct SEO QA before pages launch
  • Partners with digital analytics team to track and analyze traffic and user behavior on an ongoing basis to measure success
  • Analyzes performance ranking data, crawl logs to provide recommendations to team members across technical and non-technical disciplines
  • Analyzes on-page, off-page, and technical factors of the site and provide recommendations to improve its overall SEO health
  • Performs keyword research, technical audits, content audits and competitor analysis to discover new SEO opportunities
  • Optimizes key on-page elements throughout the site, including navigation, internal links, semantic markup, crawling/indexing directives, title tags, meta descriptions, h1 headers, and more
  • Increases the visibility and knowledge of SEO within the global organization including preparing and presenting SEO best practices and helping define SEO as a KPI for all relevant teams
  • Analyzes, tracks and reports on overall natural search performance and initiatives
  • Stay up-to-date with industry news, including the latest SEO trends, tools and algorithm updates

Your Background

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Marketing, Engineering or related technical field or equivalent working experience
  • At least 2-5 years working as an SEO Specialist or similar role that included managing and executing SEO best practices
  • Experience managing organic search for high-traffic and high-domain authority sites
  • Deep understanding of organic search, SEO trends and best practices, as well as the main pitfalls and obstacles that can hinder SEO efforts
  • Expertise in on-page, off-page and technical SEO
  • Experience using enterprise SEO tools/platforms (BrightEdge, SEMrush, or similar)
  • Understanding of digital marketing and content development; ability to strike a balance between SEO tactics and brand voice/editorial nuance
  • Dedication to a high-level operational execution; track record of producing excellent results
  • Affinity for data, analysis and measurement
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, results oriented environment. Flexibility to work in a decentralized structure
  • Ability to advocate for best practices in a diplomatic way; able to articulate data-driven rationale
  • Ability to communicate SEO results and evaluate next steps to follow
  • Understanding of the usage of content management softwares and web development
  • Understanding of the relationship between SEM and SEO
  • Experience providing reports detailing SEO performance
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated
  • Proactive self-starter with a can-do approach to problem-solving
  • Passionate about continual learning and applying what you've learned
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments
