Job Responsibilities/Duties: | The Production Operations team is responsible for the systems engineering, deployment and monitoring of the batch and interactive applications which make up Aladdin. Our diverse, global team is responsible for the configuration, scaling and operational support of dozens of technologies, both proprietary and open source. We are seeking energetic and driven operations analysts to join us. This role covers technical support and administration of business-critical batch workloads, real-time / interactive processing, data transfer services, application on-boarding. upgrades and recovery procedures. Staff must create escalations to relevant owners with clear and concise details. You should be able to handle multiple issues from multiple users and prioritize in terms of criticality, which to focus and resolve first. Also, being able to manage and cope with critical outage scenarios, whether planned (Disaster Recovery Tests) or unplanned. This role requires occasional weekend work with Time off in Lieu offered. |
Skills: | Experience with Application Support in a Linux environment. Experience of operations automation using metrics, tracing and logs combined with scripting and/or open source tools is a bonus! Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to be a self-starter and quick learner. Excellent problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. |
Education: | Degree in computer science or IT. |
