Quality Assurance (QA) Testers are important members of our development team as they help to ensure excellent day-to-day functioning of your systems and products. QA Tester needs to be very detailed, attentive, a team player, and skilled at what they do.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will report to the Head Software Developer. Responsibilities may include:
- Test new and existing features, based on the test scripts provided
- Work with Development team and customer to prepare the required Test Data
- Report errors and failures
- Work collaboratively with the developing team to correct errors and participate in testing for product releases
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a QA Tester or in a related field
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or college diploma in QA Testing
- Knowledge of various programming languages (e.g. Java, SQL, basic Unix / Linux Commands)
- Experience web application and batch jobs testing
- Experience using project tracking software considered a strong asset (e.g.: JIRA)
- Experience using version control systems (e.g.: SVN) would be considered an asset
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team
- Keen attention to detail
