Senior Accountant - Compensation and Benefit , Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ)
(Location: Singapore)

  • 10 months contract

    We are looking for a senior accountant to join our team in Singapore. The Senior Accountant is responsible for many aspects of financial activities ranging from application of the US and local GAAP's to accounting transactions, the monthly financial close, including hands on preparation of journal entries, analytical review, accounting operations process improvement, to balance sheet account reconciliation in a fast-paced and dynamic organization. In addition, she or he would be required to interact with our external auditors to ensure annual audits are completed on time.

    Responsibilities:
    • Part of the Team that takes charge of APJ GL operations, including payroll and commission
    • Responsible for monthly close activities including preparing of journal entries, with full SOX compliance
    • Ensure timely completion of all general ledger account reconciliation, with full SOX compliance
    • Prepare monthly P&L and balance sheet flux analyses for management reporting
    • Ensure compliance of the US and local GAAP accounting and provide accounting guidance to the team and the finance organization within the company
    • Co-ordinate with the US HQ Finance, other functions/regions to ensure compliance of Corporate Policies
    • Assist in annual audit with the external auditors and ensure local statutory audits are completed on time
    • Proactively identify improvement opportunities and drive global/regional finance initiatives to enhance Trust and operational efficiency


    Background:
    • CPA/ Degree in Accounting
    • Minimum 5 years accounting experience, with at least 3 years in Public Accounting
    • Experience in payroll and commission accounting preferred
    • Broad experience in local and regional GL accounting
    • Strong understanding of US and local GAAP for APAC and JAPAN
    • Experienced in Oracle multi-currency and multi-country ledgers
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Excellent IT skills especially in Excel and Data analytics
    • Experience in Tableau preferred
