Technical Lead - Claims Management

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for the integrity, consistency and compliance with technical standards in Global Tech Product Team (GTPT), as well as for supporting the Global Tech Product Head in the creation of new Squads

Create solutions

  • Analyze business needs to design the solutions and lead the team to deliver solutions to meet business objectives with selected frameworks
  • Participate in the technical definitions of Squads, providing knowledge for solving problems
  • Coordinate architecture solutions between teams and solves potential differences between teams
  • Solve potential interdependencies between platforms / systems
  • Assess test scope, approach, and strategies for claims management/core applications
  • Collaborate with vendor and internal teams for technical discussions.

Reinforce technical standards

  • Responsible for ensuring the technical consistency of solutions in the GTPT with the business architecture
  • Implement architecture and integration standards with other architects

Plan technical components

  • Define the technical skills required for the proper operation of new Squads
  • Participate in the preparation of production outputs and their planning
  • Evaluate development feasibility and tech capacity requirements
  • Manage tech delivery and support lifecycle

Staffing allocations

  • Assign tech capabilities from assigned and dedicated pool to GTP Squads based on the required capabilities, escalate to GTPT Head/PMO if additions or changes are needed

Your Background

  • Degree in Technology discipline or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in financial sector, preferably in life insurance, with at least 5 years at managerial/supervisory level
  • Functional domain expertise in Insurance industry is a plus
  • Working in Agile environments.
  • Strong understanding of claims processes, applications & systems in the insurance industry
  • Knowledge and experience with health/medical provider management systems (desirable)
  • Solid experience in IT system delvery and project management with sound domain knowledge.
  • Good problem solving, analytical and communications skills.
  • Strong people management and coaching skills
  • Affinity with Cloud technology, SaaS, AI & OCR is an asset
