KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- A good knowledge of the Database design and implementation
- Install, configure and upgrade of Oracle database software (11g and 12c)
- Create new database, clone DB, setup and manage standby database
- Must have very good knowledge on backup and recovery (RMAN, expdp/impdp etc.)
- Implement and maintain database security (DB vault, VPD, create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges etc.)
- Perform database tuning and performance monitoring
- Plan growth and changes (capacity planning)
- Patch management (PSU and CPU) for grid infrastructure and DB
- A good knowledge on Oracle stream (normal and downstream)
- Must have hands on experience on RAC, ASM and data guard
- Working experience as oracle DBA in a production environment
- Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 support when required
- Experience in MS SQL Server administration
- Good to have knowledge in MySQL and Teradata
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE NECESSARY:
- Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in Oracle Database Administration.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Preferred Certification:
- OCA, OCP
- MS SQL Server DBA certification
