We are looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of software development to be part of an Agile development team. The successful candidate will work closely with the UI/UX designer and developers in a closely knitted Agile team, bridging the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works. He/She will be required to work with a proprietary WYSIWYG web application development tool, get familiar with the capabilities of the product, development and maintain the reusable UI components in the product, and work with other developers to build applications using these UI components.
Responsibilities:
- Develop reusable UI components using the web application development tool
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs within the capability of the web application development tool
- Be familiar and comply with Singapore Government web interface standards when implementing UI layout and components
- Collaborate with UX designers, developers, business analysts and end users to create world class user experience for the end users
- Be the bridge between UX designers and developers
Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplines
- Minimum 2 years working experience in front-end web application development
- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5,CSS3
- Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
- Proficient understanding of mobile responsive web design and ways to implement
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
- Good knowledge of UX design and design thinking methodologies
