The Opportunity
Fund Accounting (Securities Services and Issuer Services Operations) - Fund Accounting Analyst
- Monitor work activities to ensure timeliness and accuracy of the funds activities in a department, including calculation of Net Assets Valuation (NAV) and distribution factors
- Assist in preparing financial statements, risk-based capital reports, tax reporting and regulatory reporting filings for delivery to the clients on a timely basis
- Review aging break items and breaks over a certain dollar threshold
- Track delivery for the clients assigned
- Serve as the Checker for complex tasks
- Assist the team manager in audit queries, client queries, and risk related items
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the company, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Your Background
- Bachelor's degree holder
- Recognized professional qualifications e.g. CA, CPA or ACCA will be an advantage but not a must
- Experience in accounting, finance, or business-related area
- Experience in fund administration, change management, and/or project management
- Knowledge of financial services/operations
- Knowledge on preparation of Net Asset Valuation for investment funds will be an advantage but not a must
- Has the ability to plan and manage assignments in a dynamic work environment; can prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments to meet tight deadlines
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word is a must; whilst familiarity with Excel-Macro will be an advantage
